I didn’t know much before watching the series premiere of GoT (my husband, on the other hand, had read a portion of the book series many moons ago). I wasn’t particularly excited, mainly because my husband was super excited…and we have different tastes in movies/books/TV/mostly everything. To my surprise, I really enjoyed it! It is incredible well-done, and I love me a show with a killer script. Sometimes there is a bit too much boob for my taste, but hey, it’s HBO – I think every show has a boob quota per episode.
I’ll be showing you some weird, funny, and awesome Game of Thrones theme desserts this week to celebrate the season 2 premiere. Here are my thoughts on the premiere, in no particular order (excuse the lack of eloquence – this is live blogging at it’s finest):
1. Joffrey is such a turd and poor, poor Sansa.
2. Peter Dinklage deserved that Emmy 10 times over.
3. DRAGONS!!!!!
4. Man, on the Westeros Twitter, #incestisawesome must be trending.
5. Cersai slapping Joffrey was highly entertaining.
6. Killing babies is hardcore. Holy crap.
What did you think of the premiere? Even if you didn’t watch it, I’m turning the big 2-9 today and if you commented with a birthday wish, that would be pretty awesome of you

My husband and I really enjoyed last night’s episode!! We had just finished watching the first season of GoT last week, so it was cool to not have to wait too long for the next season!!

Thank you, Sara! It was a great episode. Not a ton of action, but they had to reintroduce all of those story lines. I’m anxiously awaiting next week’s episode!
OMG. So excited to see what you have in store for this week. Can’t wait to have a total nerd fest.
I’m actually not watching this season until Mr. C and I rewatch the first. Mr. C wanted to marathon it last weekend, but cooler heads prevailed.
