Ready to fire up the grill, get drunk outside, and purchase illegal fireworks from a roadside shack? Our country’s independence day is almost upon us and other than making fun treats for you fine people, I don’t have any plans. Plus, the 4th is a Wednesday this year – that puts a damper on the festivities for sure! We’ll probably just enjoy the day off from work and watch fireworks on TV. Because we’re lazy and anti-social. Did I mention lazy? Really lazy.

Hahaha! I love this…it is my favorite holiday because of my childhood summers. And my birthday is the 6th, so it always felt like a great celebration…for me. Ha, then I had my daughter, on my birthday, now I have to plan partys, bake cakes, chaperone, etc, so much for my weekend anymore, of course I love it! In 2 years it will be my 50th and her 21st, don’t you know I am already planning! Did you get on cookiecon?
