“You know, I’ve never been to one of these things before. And when I think about how many people wanted this…
…and how many people cried over it and stuff…I mean, I think everybody looks like royalty tonight. So, why is everybody stressing over this thing? I mean, it’s just plastic.”

These are a spin on the traditional cookie puzzle (I was inspired by the amazing Jill FCS to try my hand at it!). Now, take a piece and share them with all your wannabe friends. Except for Gretchen Wieners. None for Gretchen Wieners.
Ingredients:
- Tiara/crown shaped cookies, broken into pieces (I’ll show you how I did it below)
- Grey icing (outline and flood)
- Pastry bag, coupler, #2 tip
- Sugar pearls
- Sanitized tweezers
1. To start, I had a regular crown/tiara shaped cookie cut out (before baking). I want to break each tiara into three pieces. You could use a pizza cutter or exacto knife, but I found this little Halloween guy would do just fine:
2. Once the cookies are baked and cooled, free feel to use a hand grater to clean up the edges to make them fit together better. No worries if it is not perfect – mine certainly weren’t!
Holy lumpy cookie, Batman. Thankfully, royal icing can cover these sins!
3. Outline and flood your cookie with the grey icing and a #2 tip. Allow to dry for a couple minutes.
4. Now, get your tweezers and sugar pearls.
Carefully, pick up a pearl with your tweezers and drop it into place. No need to press it down; it will adhere to the cookie since the icing will still be slightly wet.
I kind of wish I had more of a design going into it, but I just made it up as I went along. I think it still looks nice though!
5. Allow to dry overnight and you will have a cookie fit for a Queen Bee!

Thanks, Carrie! Lots more to come
What a great idea for a cookie! I love this movie and I can’t wait to see what else you’ve come up with.
Thanks so much, Mike! I’m super excited about tomorrow’s cookie – I just love how it came out
Also a fan of that movie! I like the design and idea of the cookies.
Thank you, Aly! Stay tuned for more cookies for the rest of the week
My daughter and I aren’t exactly the tiara types, but we have had a great time this summer watching all the “old” teen flicks she loved! WHo thought a 19 year old would find that nostalgic??? She would approve of the broken tiara for sure!
I bet that was a fun time! I love watching the old John Hughes films (The Breakfast Club, 16 Candles, etc.)
Four for you, Glen Coco! You go, Glen Coco!! XD
<3 Mean Girls. Just….<3 it.
