WHERE AM I??
Welcome to Not Your Momma’s Cookie, NoYoMoCo for short. I’ll show you how to make awesome desserts and sugar cookies! You won’t see any baby onesie, flower, or fluffy animal cookies ’round these parts – I like to focus on the weird, silly, geeky, and modern. I hope you’ll stick around!
Who are you?
My name is Jennifer.
(I’m on the left and frequently make that face…and managed to dislocate my shoulder for this picture)
I’m an Aries. I watch too much TV. I’m married to an awesome guy who puts up with my compulsive tendencies. I have three cats. I live in Virginia. I hate mint. I have an inappropriate sense of humor. I love baking.
How do I find a particular recipe or cookie?
If you’re looking for a themed dessert (Game of Thrones, Mad Men, True Blood, Twilight, etc.), click on the Desserts by Theme section in the menu. If you’re looking for a particular type of dessert or a complete listing of all of my sugar cookies, check out the Yum Index. If you’re looking for a specific ingredient or color, use the handy little search box in the sidebar.
When did you start blogging?
How did you start blogging?
I wanted a creative outlet in my life and thought a blog would be fun.
What kind of camera do you use?
Sometimes your pictures suck.
Yeah, I’m sorry about that. Sometimes I have to take pictures in the evenings and I don’t have one of those fancy light thingys. I guess I should get one of those.
Do you sell your cookies or desserts?
Nope – I just blog about them and let friends and family munch on them. It might be something I would explore in the future.
I like what I see. Can you let me know when you’ve posted something awesome?
Sure! Subscribe to my blog to see my fabulous treats in your Google Reader or email inbox. This is the only way to make absolutely sure that you won’t miss a thing!
I made one of your recipes and it was awesome/a complete disaster!
I’d love to hear about your experience making one of my recipes, even if it didn’t turn out as you expected! If you loved it, it would be wonderful if you left a comment – I love those! If you had trouble, shoot me an email at email@example.com and I will try my best to help you troubleshoot. Unfortunately, without being in your kitchen cooking with you, I may not be able to pinpoint exactly what went wrong, but I will try my best! Plus, if I hear from several people who had trouble with a recipe, I will take another look at it and see if I need to make any changes.
I have a question for you.
Shoot me an email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
