After celebrating my one year blogiversary on Saturday, I decided that I want to know more about you, my dear readers that indulge my silly, weird blog. I created this 2-3 minute survey to get some statistical information about you all. All responses are anonymous! But, as a little extra reward, once you complete the survey by clicking on the “submit” button, leave a comment on this blog post and you’ll be entered into a drawing for a $20 Amazon gift card! The winner will be chosen next Monday, January 28th. Open internationally!
This survey is no longer accepting response. Thanks everyone!
Well, today is the one year anniversary of this little blog o’ mine. What a year it is has been! Here are some fun stats:
173 blog posts (50 of them include sugar cookie designs)
3,282 comments. You guys like to chat and I love to reply!
1 blog theme change
24,478: the largest number of pageviews in one day
156 recipe development disasters (approximate – it feels like that many!)
3755% traffic increase from inception last January 2012 to May 2012 (this was quite a surprise!)
2 cookie scoops owned (and 2 aprons)
14 posts with no comments, including my first post! (also my Edward Cupcakes, Danish Apple Cake, and my Wicked Green Elixer)
3,211 Facebook fans
50-70 pictures taken per dessert for the 1-2 that make it to the blog (I take fewer pictures for sugar cookies!). No lie. I change my mind a lot!
3: the number of times the blog has crashed due to a sudden traffic increase
2,434 pins on Pinterest…and counting!
The best of this blog? You. So, I want to know what you think. Please take a second to leave me a comment on what you would like to see on the blog. Would you like to see more regular desserts? Do you have a super awesome sugar cookie idea? Want to see fewer cat pictures on instagram? (can’t make any promises on that one). Seriously, I want to know what you think! You can also shoot me an email at jennifer@notyourmommascookie.com. I love getting emails!
Thank you all for a truly fabulous year. You guys are the best!

I think it should be a rule that the only precipitation allowed during the months of December, January, and February is snow. No cold rain, no sleet, no hail. Just beautiful, fluffy white snow. I had almost given up on the idea of snow this season.

A new day, a new hour, a new minute. Even when these “anytime” resolutions don’t stick, I feel empowered by the knowledge that you can better yourself , start over, at any time. [Keep reading…]
