Chocolate Chip Cookies Rule the World
These do, at least! I’ve been making these cookies (from Allrecipes) for years and they are, by far, my husband’s favorite. They are huge, chewy, and chocolaty – everything a chocolate chip cookie should be. They are also super easy to make. You don’t even have to soften any butter (which I irrationally hate to do).

Bodacious Brownies
People don’t say bodacious anymore, do they? Or did they really ever say it at all? As a total dork, I looked up the exact definition of “bodacious” and m-w.com offers this: “The bodacious decor of the boutique hotel is intended to appeal to the young and the hip.” That is one fantastic sentence.

What You Really Need Know: Sugar Cookie Basics
I have to admit that I found decorating sugar cookies to be a bit intimidating at first. It can be a complicated, multi-step process and most people wouldn’t have the needed supplies on hand. New bakers have a tendency to get caught up in perfection – you have to find the perfect sugar cookie recipe, then the perfect icing, then the best tools. One thing I’ve learned: don’t strive for perfection! Especially in the beginning. Decorating sugar cookies should be fun – a wonderful creative outlet that anyone can do, once they know the basics.

Is This Thing On?
Hi, I’m Jennifer. After blogging for work for a number of years, it feels strange to write whatever I want. In a good way.
I’m starting this blog because I think I can add something unique and special to all of the baking blogs out there. Not because I’m an expert, because I’m definitely not, but because I think cookies can be more than flowers and baby onesies.
