I love making simple sugar cookies and these are as simple as it gets! One icing color (white), simple round cookies, painted on runes, and some splattering for good measure. Perfect for a City of Bones premiere shindig!

I’m interested in your cookie painting! These came out super sharp. Did you trace on first? Just wing it? I tried my hand at painting on cookies a couple days ago and had “eh” results. I’m currently on a researching bender to see how folks make their painted cookies look so good!
Oh, Michelle, I’m so glad you like them! They didn’t come out as crisp as I wanted, but I think if I had a better paintbrush, I would have been able to get cleaner lines! I used my KopyKake, but tracing would have worked great too! I’ve only painted on cookies a couple times before and it is not my best skill

Wow, these cookies look fantastic! I read the first two books a while ago, and I remember liking them, but I’m not sure I want to see the movie. Even though it looks good, it may just spoil the books for me.
I understand what you mean! I always try to mentally separate books from their movies and enjoy them as individual pieces so I’m not disappointed, but they are making a movie out of The Fault in Our Stars and I’m not happy about it at all! I just loved that book so much, I just KNOW they are going to mess it up!
I am SO freaking excited to see the movie. I’m just worried I will hate it. The books are super awesome. Loved reading them all and can’t wait for the next!
True, I’m a little worried too! I know everyone is fussing because of the Jace casting, but I actually quite like that actor, so I’m hoping he does a good job
I am especially concerned about a certain revelation that comes out near the end of the first book…something that I think will be received quite differently on film than in a book…I don’t know. We’ll see!
